If you are anything like me you drool over treats at Starbucks! One of my favorites were the marshmallow dream bars! Who doesn’t love the ooey, gooey goodness that these babies are packing’, eh? So, let’s NOT go without… let’s make our own.
You will need:
1/2 box. Gluten Free Rice Krispies
1 cup. Margarine
1 400g Bag of Mini Marshmallows (the Safeway ones are safe!)
1) Butter your 9×13″ pan and set aside. Take one cup of marshmallows and separate from the bag.
2) Melt butter in a medium-large pot, be careful not to let it boil or brown. Once all of the butter has melted add in the bag of marshmallows (minus one cup). Stir constantly over medium heat until the marshmallows have melted and mixed with the butter. Again, be careful not to let the mixture boil or brown.
3) Remove mixture from heat and add approximately half a box of rice krispies (you can adjust this according to preference). Stir until all of the rice krispies are coated with the mixture.
4) Add in the final cup of marshmallows and mix well. Spoon mixture into the already buttered pan. Run your hands under cold water (this will keep the marshmallow from sticking to you!) and press mixture into pan. Let the mixture cool then cut and serve!
