*Choc-mint Smoothie *
4 frozen bananas
1 small bunch tuscan kale (deveined)
1 small handful fresh mint
2 tbsp raw cacao
1 tbsp maca powder
Sweetener of choice e.g. raw organic honey, maple syrup, coconut sugar,
To make the green layer blend 2 frozen bananas with the kale, mint,
sweetener of choice, ice and 1/2-1 cup coconut water (add just enough to
maintain a nice thick, creamy consistency for best layering). Pour into two
glasses or mason jars until half full.
For the chocolate layer blend 2 frozen bananas with raw cacao, maca powder,
sweetener of choice, ice and enough coconut water to maintain creamy
consistency. Pour over the green layer.
1 bunch kale or English spinach
3 celery stalks
1 lime (peel removed)
2 wedges papaya
1 green apple
*Antioxidant Filled Breakfast Smoothie Bowl*
1 cup mixed frozen berries
1 frozen banana
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp each of maqui or acai berry powder and bee pollen (optional)
Blend all ingredients until smooth, adding enough coconut water to reach
desired consistency (add less for a soft serve consistency). Pour into a
serving bowl and top with chopped fresh fruits such as berries, pomegranate
seeds, figs and cherries.
